MEET THE DOCTOR:
Kathie Gerrity, DVM
Dr. Gerrity is a 1979 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She did a 14 month internship at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital and spent 5 years as Chief of Staff at the United Emergency Animal Clinic in Campbell before purchasing the Boulder Creek Veterinary Clinic in 1985. Dr. Gerrity's special areas of interest and expertise are dermatology and trauma medicine, supported by years of experience and extensive continuing education. Voted one of America's Top Veterinarians in 2007, she divides her free time between her family; her 6 dogs, 6 cats, chickens, and guinea pig; gardening; water-skiing; and donating her services to an animal sanctuary in Rosarito, Mexico.
OUR STAFF:
Pamela Kersey, Practice Manager
Pamela Kersey attended the University of California, Davis and California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. She is a member the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. She has blended an extensive veterinary medical background with practice management. Pamela is also a certified small animal nutritionalist, always willing to consult on dietary management. Her home is filled with various rescued dogs, cats, and rabbits.
Angie Smith, RVT
Angie was born and raised in the San Lorenzo Valley and now resides here in Boulder Creek. She joined the Boulder Creek Veterinary Clinic in October 2001 and currently works fulltime. She is in charge of ordering and managing hospital supplies, in addition to her regular nursing responsibilities. Angie is a board certified Registered Veterinary Technician by the State of California. She has also completed several continuing education seminars and courses in various subjects in veterinary medicine. When Angie is not at the clinic, she enjoys photography, billiards, and spending time outdoors with her family, including her 5 year old daughter, Nikola.
Michele Ortega, Veterinary Assistant
Michele was born and raised in Monterey CA, she now resides in Santa Cruz. She joined the Boulder Creek veterinary Clinic in October 2003. Michele is in charge of the pet store and ordering. If you are every looking for anything specific, please ask for her. Michele is Board qualified for the State of California registered Veterinary Technician program and is currently enrolled in the Animal Care Technologies licensing course. She has also completed several continuing education seminars and courses in various subjects in veterinary medicine. When Michele is not at the clinic she enjoys, boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding, camping, spending time with friends and being with her pets!
